Once upon a time there was William Thatcher, who served as a squire to the knight Sir Ector since childhood. William dreamed of fame and jousting tournaments, but could not take part in them in any way. Until his master died. Taking advantage of this tragic, on the one hand, and on the other — a successful circumstance, William puts on the knight's armor of the owner, goes to the tournament and wins it. William is happy and goes to the next fight with his friends. There is only one problem — the bloodline of the newly minted knight. But it also resolves when friends meet the writer, with his help William turns into Ulrich von Lichtenstein. Under this name, he will have many victories, various adventures and, of course, love. All this is accompanied by hits by Queen, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, David Bowie, War and many others.
