Eddie Brock is a journalist who takes on sensational projects and always gets things done without fear of consequences. But his latest interview with scientist and businessman Carlton Drake results in him losing his job. He soon meets Drake's colleague, who claims that the scientist is conducting experiments on humans, trying to connect them with an alien parasite. Having infiltrated the laboratory, Brock tries to save the victim of the experiment, as a result of which he accidentally fuses with the symbiote. From that moment, he begins to hear a certain voice in his head and inexplicable phenomena occur to him.
