Joe lives in 2044, where civilization came to the conclusion that killing hobos is no longer considered a crime. But 30 years later, the picture changes and the state tightly controls extrajudicial killings. The mafia manages to find illegally invented a time machine. Now all the victims are sent to the year 2044, where assassins, loopers, immediately kill them on the spot. Once all the loopers discover twice the fee for their work, which means that they just killed themselves from the future. One of the loopers named Joe, finding that he killed himself in his old age, decided to retire and to go to Shanghai, where he spent a few years in entertainment, spends all the money. But soon the situation changes and he has to go back in time.
