Directed by Brian De Palma. The picture appeared on the big screen in 1983. Now it is hard to believe that in the distant 83rd year this film was nominated for a dubious movie awards "Golden raspberry". In our time, this film is the ranking of the best films in history of cinematography. At first the picture was perceived with caution, as the Director previously specialized only in horror, and then comes the film under his direction in the genre of Western-Thriller. To the modern viewer this film is a story about one person, about his dream, the rise and collapse.
The story takes place in the spring of 1980. At this time, opened the port, Mariel harbour, free for the thousands of Cubans who rushed to the United States in search of the American dream.
