Joseph Donnelly - Irish peasant who ekes out a miserable existence. Shannon Christie - a real Irish aristocrat who are tired of the boring life and yearns for adventure, as well as get rid of the constant supervision of the mother. This couple goes together in distant America, to try to find happiness and to become owners of the land, which is distributed free of charge to the west of the country. This unprecedented generosity was the attraction for many members of the Old World. However, arriving at the place where they expected to get into paradise, Joseph and Shannon were left without a penny in his pocket, and now they have to engage to any, even the most difficult job. If Joseph is no stranger to this, then it would be Shannon real test.
