The film is based on the famous horror stories about the headless horseman. In 1799, in a little place called Sleepy Hollow, a series of mysterious murders take place. A young constable from New York is sent to investigate. When he arrives, Ichabod Crane learns from the locals that all the murders are committed by a mysterious headless horseman, and only at night. All the victims are decapitated and only the unfortunate bodies are found at the scene. Crane becomes convinced that none of this is the fiction of the gullible residents. Now it's up to him to find the mystical creature...
