Frank Сhambers has long leads system by writing the hobo way of life accustomed to be interrupted by casual earnings. He stops in a small provincial town, where he gets a gas station owned by an elderly Greek Nick Papadakis. With his young wife Cora, Nick also contains a small tavern "Two oaks", in which Frank first met the wife of his employer. Tired of life with the unloved man, Cora has an affair with chambers. Between flashes real passion, and she decides to get rid of the pesky husband. After a while Frank agrees to go on the offense, and the lovers commit a murder. But if they can get away with a fair punishment?
