The 70s of the XX century. The golden age of Formula 1: streamlined racing cars, brutal racers on the track and vulnerable in everyday life, sexy fans, liters of champagne at the finish line for the winner. Two irreconcilable rivals in the history of racing — charming playboy Englishman James Hunt and disciplined perfectionist Austrian Niki Lauda — push themselves to the limit of physical and psychological endurance for the sake of triumph on the track. For them, there are no easy paths to victory and no room for error. A single mistake can cost drivers their careers and even their lives. The film "Race" is based on the real events of Formula 1 in the 1976 season.
