Escape from L.A. / Побег из Лос-Анджелеса (1996)

In 2000, a major earthquake occurred in Los Angeles, as a result of which the San Fernando Valley was flooded, which turned into a real sea, and the city separated from the mainland, becoming an island. The new president of the United States, who secured this post for life, declares Los Angeles a city of sin. The new legislation states that anyone who loses their citizenship will be exiled to the island of Los Angeles, which becomes a kind of penal colony for criminals. In 2013, a revolutionary from the Peruvian organization Cuervo Jones convinces the president's daughter to steal from her father the remote control of the Sword of Damocles super weapon, which is capable of neutralizing any electronic devices on the planet. In order to fulfill an extremely important task, the US government is once again forced to resort to the help of Snake Plissken.
