Paul returns home after the war. He soon realizes that his wife, whom he hurriedly married during one of the layoffs, is completely foreign to him. Heading to Sacramento, the Floor happened to protect from bullies incredibly beautiful girl Victoria Aragon. She told him about her life history after she became pregnant, the groom left her, and now Victoria doesn't know how to return to her parents, strict Catholics of Mexican origin.
