David Dunn is a security officer who lives in Philadelphia with his wife and son. One day, he gets into a serious train accident, but he is the only one who manages to survive, besides, he does not even have a single scratch left. Soon, David meets a mysterious Elijah Price, who is a collector and owner of a comic book art salon. Elijah has a rather rare disease, osteogenesis imperfecta, which makes his bones very fragile.
